New Discoveries: Cycles in Time Featured

New discoveries have overturned 150 years of scientific thinking when it comes to us, you and me, the way we think about ourselves, one another and about the world, from undeniable evidence.
There is a new story emerging, one that gives us a lot of answers and beckons us to ask some new questions too...
How can we be resilient in the world that's growing more volatile by the day? How can we thrive in the new "normal" that is already with us, already here right now unless we are honest with ourselves about what is actually going on.
We need to examine these new discoveries, and what they are telling us, what they mean in our lives. What is causing these extremes we are seeing in our world? Why are they happening right now?
These new discoveries are telling us.... it's all about cycles, cycles of time!
Unfortunately we are not seeing any of this in traditional mainstream media, they have their own agendas of global warming being caused by the "Human Race", it's not being discussed in textbooks or in classrooms either, for much the same reasons.
Scientific evidence now recognizes that we are living in a rare convergence of three cycles of change; cycles of climates, economic cycles and cycles of human conflict.
Through new discoveries we now know these are natural cycles, they follow natural rhythms that we can predict and we can calculate because evidence shows these cycles appear on a regular basis.
That's what makes the time we are in now so unique. All three of these cycles are appearing at the same time, they're colliding right now............. and it's happening in our lifetime.
The primary source of information about the history of our planet comes from the sea floor sediments and core samples scientists pull up out of the oceans, it comes from ancient tree ring data but the problem with this is that tree rings only go back a couple thousand years and it comes from Ice core samples that we find in the ice sheets of Antarctica and Greenland.
ice core
These core samples hold a tremendous amount of information which can be read by scientists who know how to read these samples, as you and I would read pages of a book.
Each year when a new layer of ice is deposited, that layer captures the information of what is going on in our atmosphere, if there was a volcanic eruption then they'll find volcanic dust particles, if the wind has blown pollen grains from Europe then we know that too.
From the ice cores we can tell a tremendous amount of information as in how strong the magnetic fields have been in the past, how strong the sun was, how high the sea levels were, tremendous amount of information and here's the best thing they tell us, we can tell what the ancient temperatures were.
The European Project for Ice Coring in Antarctica (EPICA) drilled at a site called Dome C in Antarctica that was 3233 miles above sea level, they were able to drill a 3270 .2 miles long core sample containing over 740,000 layers, each layer representing one year.
Another collaborative ice drilling project between Russia, the United States, and France was drilled 350 miles north of Dome C at Lake Vostok, that core had over 420,000 layers.
The information from the two drill sites gives us 420,000+ years of our past to compare with today. To see if there is something wrong. To see if the Earth is "broken", to understand if something truly anomalous is happening right now.
chart 1 A
In the Graph A, you are seeing the two different ice cores. In blue, the EPICA ice core  and in green, the Vostic ice core, in red, is the thickness of the ice of the corresponding timeline. Even if you know nothing about how to read this information, you can see the cycles, you can see the rhythms, it is not your imagination..... there are obvious visible cycles and cycles within cycles.
We are at 0, on the left of the graph now and 450,000 years ago is on the right. When you look at the blue or green ice cores, and the volume of the ice, what we see is they agree with one another, times when the temperature of the earth have ebbed and flowed, when it's been warmer and when it's been cooler and when it happens in one place it happens in another place as well.
So if we look at the graph today, we are above the average temperatures and we can expect temperatures to be higher and ice volume lower because of the cycle we are in. We should be concerned if we were not experiencing higher temperatures because this evidence shows us it has happened in the past and should be happening now.
The real question we should be asking now is how much warmer is normal, how much warming should we really be seeing?
chart 1a
Graph B comes from the ice core data and the sea floor sediment data and represents earth temperatures, 0 being today, with the graph going back 2000 years. The green line we see in the center represents the average temperatures over these past 2000 years. The graph shows us where we have seen temperatures above and below that average.
We clearly see that today we are above normal than the average but are we warmer now than be have been in the past? Absolutely not!!!  We see by the chart that we are no way near the other high temperatures that have been reached in the past. In the 1200 to 1300's AD temperatures were almost twice the anomaly we are seeing right now, back in the years 800 to 1000 AD temperatures were three times where they are now, this time in history is a time that scientists refer to as MWP or Medieval Warming Period.
Can you imagine being three times as warm as we are now without the modern technologies that allow us to remain comfortable? I remember from my history lessons that this era in history was known as the Dark Ages when scientific and cultural advances came to a virtual stop.
Maybe it was just too hot!
Look to our next issue for this continuing story, where we will be exploring this subject of cycles further, and looking at other new discoveries and how they relate to us, today!
