Gov. Ron Desantis has issued a mandatory stay at home order for the entire State of Florida. The Florida Stay at Home order goes into effect on Thursday at Midnight, so just hours from now.

DeSantis made the announcement during a press conference Wednesday afternoon.

Facing more pressure from state legislators that he should shutdown the state, DeSantis said Wednesday that he made the move in accordance with the new guidance from the Trump Administration, which calls for people to practice social distancing through at least April 30.

The order mandates that Floridians stay at home and “limit movements and personal interactions outside the home” to essential services or activities. He says the order is in place for 30 days. DeSantis said the state would follow the guidelines outlined by the Department of Homeland Security.

Several other counties that have enacted their own stay at home orders defined essential activies as going to and from work, going to get food, going to the bank and going to the grocery store.

In many counties the boat ramps and marinas are closed, but fishing from shore in many spots was allowed as long as social distancing requirements were met.

I removed all the "where as" parts in the begining of the Ex Order... BUT you can find the whole order link at the bottom of the article.

By the Numbers:

Corona Flu as of 5:10am April 2nd, 2020 ... there are 938,348 cases worldwide so far with 195,371 people that have had total recoveries and 47,286 deaths in the whole world!

In the USA there have been 341 new cases since yesterday and 10 new deaths and we have 215,344 total cases with 5,112 deaths and 8,878 complete recoveries. In the USA there are currently 201,354 active Corona Flu cases with only 5,005 out of  over 201,300 of those are in serious or critical condition! That is 0.0232 % ....................!!!

Comparison to the 2009-2010 SWINE FLU:

In 2009, there were up to 1.4 billion worldwide cases of the Swine Flu in the one year it was a global pandemic with 575.000 deaths worldwide

In the United States, there were 61 million cases of confirmed swine flu, with 12,469 deaths.

President Obama waited until 1000 people had died from Swine Flu in the United States before declaring an emergency, because of his late response, the US had the most cases of Swine Flu and the most deaths of any country, here are some stats on the Swine Flu Death counts. While looking at these stats please remember the USA has 325 Million people, India and China have roughly 1.4 Billion people each: India had 1035 Swine Flu deaths, China had 737 Swine Flu deaths.

We are in Florida,  Our Governor DeSantis has issued an executive order to "Shelter In Place"  which will go into affect at 12:01 am ... so tonight at midnight, toilet paper is plentiful at WalMart in the mornings most stores like Aldi's and Publix are also getting their shelves stocked up with essentials and cleaning products so there is no need to hoard them! Be Smart, Be Safe, Wash your hands !

I’m astounded at the extent progressives and never-Trumpers hate our President. Collectively, these people are part of a loosely organized group called “the resistance.” It’s made up of politicians, media personalities, organizations and individual activist progressives. The group quickly formed coming off the shock of Trump’s presidential election 2016 victory.

Resistance activities take many forms ranging from rallies to training sessions, publications, and beyond. For example, this widely distributed article appeared: “Throw Sand in the Gears of Everything” by Frances Fox Piven, social activist and CUNY political science professor.

President Obama has been a friendly but quiet supporter of the resistance, until this week when he severely criticized handling of the pandemic. And Hillary Clinton came out of her election loss professing publicly in an interview with CNN’s Christiane Amanpour: “I’m now back to being an activist citizen and part of the resistance.”

The resistance is driven by hatred of Donald Trump, obsessively focused on their goal of removing the President from office, and it doesn’t seem to matter how it’s done. The foolish and “doomed-from-the-start” impeachment and Senate trial proceedings was part of this “resistance.”

On January 31, a few days after the first identified U.S. COVID-19 victim was diagnosed, Trump declared a public health emergency and banned travel to and from China. Joe Biden quickly called this action “hysterical xenophobia,” and “fear-mongering.” I can hardly believe that House democrats have attempted to permanently roll back Trump’s authority to enact that type of travel ban. That’s outrageous.

During January, right up until Trump’s acquittal on February 5th, you can be sure Congress was distracted from the developing “perfect storm,” and as columnist Henry Olsen admitted in the Washington Post, “let’s be honest, impeachment hurt Trump’s response to coronavirus.”

The President has been repeatedly accused of declaring the pandemic a hoax. That’s a blatant lie. He’s accused of racism for using references to the “China virus.” That charge came after weeks of the mainstream media’s weeks long, widespread usage of that reference. Someone must have issued a memo to stop using the reference and to use it only as evidence of Trump’s racism.

During late January and February, mainstream media outlets and state and local democrat politicians presented similar “expert” opinions poo-pooing Trump’s early concern, especially the travel bans. (I searched and found examples and can provide references on request.)

One example: “A lot of people are concerned about the coronavirus because you’re hearing a lot of news about it……but the reality is, comparing it to the flu for example, it’s not even close.” That from Dr. John Torres, NBC Nightly News on 1/25. Another example: “Who says it’s not safe to travel to China? The coronavirus travel ban is unjust and doesn’t work anyway.” That from Rosie Spinks in the New York Times on 2/5.

One horribly blatant example of the resistance movement tactics came when bipartisan legislation for coronavirus financial relief was near. House Majority Whip James Clyburn (D-SC) told democrats: “This is a tremendous opportunity to restructure things to fit our vision.” Speaker Pelosi ended up halting all proceedings to introduce radical progressive legislation tied to the financial relief legislation. She failed on most of her proposals.

There’s absolutely nothing the President could do that would gain approval of the resistance, especially democrat politicians and the liberal news media. If he was seen walking on water, news reports would criticize him for not being able to swim. It seems like beating a dead horse to repeatedly make this argument, but it’s true.

Trump isn’t dealing with mere opposition. He’s dealing with obsessive hatred that I can’t explain but is very real. A person of whom I’m very fond recently posted (slightly paraphrased): “I’d crawl through a minefield of coronavirus to remove that f…..r from office.” To that otherwise wonderful person I say, “You’re a proud liberal democrat activist, but you’re obviously stuck in a dreadful place. How can we get you out?”

And this just in. Adam Schiff is introducing legislation to form a commission to investigate Trump’s coronavirus response. Schiff tweeted: “You cannot count on Donald Trump to do what’s right for this country.”

We’re all in this together….except, it seems, those dedicated to the resistance.
