Gov. Ron Desantis has issued a mandatory stay at home order for the entire State of Florida. The Florida Stay at Home order goes into effect on Thursday at Midnight, so just hours from now.

DeSantis made the announcement during a press conference Wednesday afternoon.

Facing more pressure from state legislators that he should shutdown the state, DeSantis said Wednesday that he made the move in accordance with the new guidance from the Trump Administration, which calls for people to practice social distancing through at least April 30.

The order mandates that Floridians stay at home and “limit movements and personal interactions outside the home” to essential services or activities. He says the order is in place for 30 days. DeSantis said the state would follow the guidelines outlined by the Department of Homeland Security.

Several other counties that have enacted their own stay at home orders defined essential activies as going to and from work, going to get food, going to the bank and going to the grocery store.

In many counties the boat ramps and marinas are closed, but fishing from shore in many spots was allowed as long as social distancing requirements were met.

EXECUTIVE ORDER:

I removed all the "where as" parts in the begining of the Ex Order... BUT you can find the whole order link at the bottom of the article.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, RON DESANTIS, as Governor of Florida, by virtue of the authority vested in me by Article IV, Section (l)(a) of the Florida Constitutioi;i Chapter 2 252, Florida Statutes, and all other applicable laws, promulgate the following Executive Order to take immediate effect:

Section 1. Safer At Home

A. Senior citizens and individuals with a significant underlying medical condition (such as chronic lung disease, moderate-to-severe asthma, serious heart conditions, immunocompromised status, cancer, diabetes, severe obesity, renal failure and liver disease) shall stay at home and take all measures to limit the risk of exposure to COVID-19.

B. In concert with the efforts of President Trump and the White House Corona virus Task Force to fight COVID-19, and based on guidance provided by Florida Surgeon General and State Health Officer, Dr. Scott Rivkees, all persons in Florida shall limit their movements and personal interactions outside of their home to only those necessary to obtain or provide essential services or conduct essential activities.

Section 2. Essential Services

A. For purposes of this Order and the conduct it limits, "essential services" means and encompasses the list detailed by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in its Guidance on the Essential Critical Infrastructure Workforce, v. 2 (March 28, 2020) (attached) and any subsequent lists published.

B. Essential services also include those businesses and activities designated by Executive Order 20-89 and its attachment which consists of a list propounded by Miami-Dade County in multiple orders.

C. Other essential services may be added under this Order with the approval of the State Coordinating Officer, in close coordination with the State Health Officer. The State Coordinating Officer shall maintain an online list of essential services, as specified in this Order along with any approved additions. The online list shall be available on the Division of Emergency Management's website at www.floridadisaster.org and the Florida Department of Health's website at www.floridahealth.gov.

D. Nothing in this order prohibits individuals from working from home; indeed, this Order encourages individuals to work from home.

E. All businesses or organizations are encouraged to provide delivery, carry-out or curbside service outside of the business or organization, of orders placed online or via telephone, to the greatest extent practicable.

Section 3. Essential Activities

A. For purposes of this Order and the conduct it limits, "essential activities" means and encompasses the following:

  1. Attending religious services conducted in churches, synagogues and houses of worship; and
  2. Participating in recreational activities ( consistent with social distancing guidelines) such as walking, biking, hiking, fishing, hunting, running, or swimming; and
  3. Taking care of pets; and

4.   Caring for or otherwise assisting a loved one or friend.

B. Other essential activities may be added to this list with the approval of the State Coordinating Officer, in close coordination with the State Health Officer. The State Coordinating Officer shall maintain an online list of essential activities, as specified in this Order along with any approved additions.

C. A social gathering in a public space is not an essential activity. Local jurisdictions shall ensure that groups of people greater than ten are not permitted to congregate in any public space.

Section 4. Local Orders in Response to COYID-19

This Order shall supersede any conflicting official action or order issued by local officials in response to COY ID-19 but only to the extent that such action or order allows essential services or essential activities prohibited by this Executive Order

Section 5. Previous Executive Orders

This Executive Order does not supersede any Executive Order related to COVID-19.

Section 6. Effective Date and Expiration Date

This Order is effective 12:01 am on April 3, 2020. This Order shall expire on April 30, 2020 unless extended by subsequent order. Executive Order 20-68 (bars, restaurants) and Executive Order 20-71 (alcohol sales, restaurants) shall remain in effect through the duration of Executive Order 20-52, including any extensions.

By the Numbers:

Corona Flu as of 5:10am April 2nd, 2020 ... there are 938,348 cases worldwide so far with 195,371 people that have had total recoveries and 47,286 deaths in the whole world!

In the USA there have been 341 new cases since yesterday and 10 new deaths and we have 215,344 total cases with 5,112 deaths and 8,878 complete recoveries. In the USA there are currently 201,354 active Corona Flu cases with only 5,005 out of  over 201,300 of those are in serious or critical condition! That is 0.0232 % ....................!!!

Comparison to the 2009-2010 SWINE FLU:

In 2009, there were up to 1.4 billion worldwide cases of the Swine Flu in the one year it was a global pandemic with 575.000 deaths worldwide

In the United States, there were 61 million cases of confirmed swine flu, with 12,469 deaths.

President Obama waited until 1000 people had died from Swine Flu in the United States before declaring an emergency, because of his late response, the US had the most cases of Swine Flu and the most deaths of any country, here are some stats on the Swine Flu Death counts. While looking at these stats please remember the USA has 325 Million people, India and China have roughly 1.4 Billion people each: India had 1035 Swine Flu deaths, China had 737 Swine Flu deaths.

...........................................................

We are in Florida,  Our Governor DeSantis has issued an executive order to "Shelter In Place"  which will go into affect at 12:01 am ... so tonight at midnight, toilet paper is plentiful at WalMart in the mornings most stores like Aldi's and Publix are also getting their shelves stocked up with essentials and cleaning products so there is no need to hoard them! Be Smart, Be Safe, Wash your hands !

I’m astounded at the extent progressives and never-Trumpers hate our President. Collectively, these people are part of a loosely organized group called “the resistance.” It’s made up of politicians, media personalities, organizations and individual activist progressives. The group quickly formed coming off the shock of Trump’s presidential election 2016 victory.

Resistance activities take many forms ranging from rallies to training sessions, publications, and beyond. For example, this widely distributed article appeared: “Throw Sand in the Gears of Everything” by Frances Fox Piven, social activist and CUNY political science professor.

President Obama has been a friendly but quiet supporter of the resistance, until this week when he severely criticized handling of the pandemic. And Hillary Clinton came out of her election loss professing publicly in an interview with CNN’s Christiane Amanpour: “I’m now back to being an activist citizen and part of the resistance.”

The resistance is driven by hatred of Donald Trump, obsessively focused on their goal of removing the President from office, and it doesn’t seem to matter how it’s done. The foolish and “doomed-from-the-start” impeachment and Senate trial proceedings was part of this “resistance.”

On January 31, a few days after the first identified U.S. COVID-19 victim was diagnosed, Trump declared a public health emergency and banned travel to and from China. Joe Biden quickly called this action “hysterical xenophobia,” and “fear-mongering.” I can hardly believe that House democrats have attempted to permanently roll back Trump’s authority to enact that type of travel ban. That’s outrageous.

During January, right up until Trump’s acquittal on February 5th, you can be sure Congress was distracted from the developing “perfect storm,” and as columnist Henry Olsen admitted in the Washington Post, “let’s be honest, impeachment hurt Trump’s response to coronavirus.”

The President has been repeatedly accused of declaring the pandemic a hoax. That’s a blatant lie. He’s accused of racism for using references to the “China virus.” That charge came after weeks of the mainstream media’s weeks long, widespread usage of that reference. Someone must have issued a memo to stop using the reference and to use it only as evidence of Trump’s racism.

During late January and February, mainstream media outlets and state and local democrat politicians presented similar “expert” opinions poo-pooing Trump’s early concern, especially the travel bans. (I searched and found examples and can provide references on request.)

One example: “A lot of people are concerned about the coronavirus because you’re hearing a lot of news about it……but the reality is, comparing it to the flu for example, it’s not even close.” That from Dr. John Torres, NBC Nightly News on 1/25. Another example: “Who says it’s not safe to travel to China? The coronavirus travel ban is unjust and doesn’t work anyway.” That from Rosie Spinks in the New York Times on 2/5.

One horribly blatant example of the resistance movement tactics came when bipartisan legislation for coronavirus financial relief was near. House Majority Whip James Clyburn (D-SC) told democrats: “This is a tremendous opportunity to restructure things to fit our vision.” Speaker Pelosi ended up halting all proceedings to introduce radical progressive legislation tied to the financial relief legislation. She failed on most of her proposals.

There’s absolutely nothing the President could do that would gain approval of the resistance, especially democrat politicians and the liberal news media. If he was seen walking on water, news reports would criticize him for not being able to swim. It seems like beating a dead horse to repeatedly make this argument, but it’s true.

Trump isn’t dealing with mere opposition. He’s dealing with obsessive hatred that I can’t explain but is very real. A person of whom I’m very fond recently posted (slightly paraphrased): “I’d crawl through a minefield of coronavirus to remove that f…..r from office.” To that otherwise wonderful person I say, “You’re a proud liberal democrat activist, but you’re obviously stuck in a dreadful place. How can we get you out?”

And this just in. Adam Schiff is introducing legislation to form a commission to investigate Trump’s coronavirus response. Schiff tweeted: “You cannot count on Donald Trump to do what’s right for this country.”

We’re all in this together….except, it seems, those dedicated to the resistance.

Well…I’m not quite as smart as I thought…close…but not quite! I did a little research and found that Nation-States are immune from the type of law suits I thought up…criminal negligence!

A well written article in Bloomberg Opinion on March 24, 2020 by Steven L Carter explains it with this single quote… “Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act, known as FSIA, passed in 1976, a statute intended (in the words of one federal court) “to protect foreign sovereigns from the burdens of litigation, including the cost and aggravation of discovery.”

Many have tried to sue China and have failed because of the sovereignty that all the courts including ours, have agreed exists.

So …I have another brilliant idea; if “immunity from litigation” applies to China and the world, then it applies to the US! So let’s find a manner to “repay” China, the debt we have with China, that would be fraudulent but “immune from litigation” or if failure to re-pay a debt would be covered by the FSIA immunity law, just stop paying!

China has clearly demonstrated itself to be at the top of the “WORLD’S LIST OF MOST DESPICABLE NATIONS! That would include the MOST…deceitful, dishonest, unethical, corrupt, untrustworthy, ungrateful, inept and most arrogant countries the world has ever seen!

What makes them worse than the Roman Empire, the Turkish Huns, ISIS, Russia, North Korea, Iran, Raiding Vikings and the many plundering countries of ancient times, is that they can plunder and kill, silently, without their victims even knowing that their entire country has been plundered and raped, by cyber-attacks and their ability to produce power or defend themselves!

We owe China NOTHING…we have had it with China! We got along quite well without doing any business with China in any way for decades. We didn’t even have diplomatic contact with them EVER…until Nixon had to open the door to them …I have always believed that Nixon made a major mistake doing what he did!

Our relationship with China has been and will always be a “take and take”, rather than a “take and give” relationship…and that will NEVER change. How have we benefited from making China a world power?

I liken the relationship, between China and America, to two ships; one a “junk” and the other a sleek liner. The sleek liner, America, drilled holes in her hull…a perfectly good ship, so China could sell us drills… because they couldn’t make toilet paper without our help…we even built the factories! When their drill factories were up and running, we borrowed money from “them”, to buy more drills to puncture more holes so they could sell us bilge pumps and then  helped them built the bilge pump factories. When we had too many holes to stop from sinking…China threatened to stop selling us Bilge pumps …but not drills.

Enough is enough! Our steel companies and other manufacturing jobs, that we gave China…must come back to the US! Those manufacturing facilities that are vital to our survival…like ammunition, drugs, power transformers, that are so vital to our power grid and we can’t build…MUST be brought back by force, if necessary.

How…? Build those factories that we know to be vital… here, with interest paying, repayable loans from the government to the companies. Build the plants, with US citizens and US materials, ONLY! Then gradually ban the import of those items from China, like steel, drugs and ammunition!

We need China’s help like we need another infectious disease! China makes the phrase, “WITH FRIENDS LIKE THAT,WHO NEEDS ENEMIES?”, require capital lettering!

Although a Republican President Nixon, started our mistake with China…Democrat /Socialist Obama tried to drive the finishing stakes in America’s heart! Fortunately, we now have a President who is a Patriot, has a “magic wand”, like Obama said was required, and this one is not a greedy politician.

Face it! How many Presidents came into the Whitehouse relatively poor and left wealthy?  How many came to the Presidency to improve America and how many to improve their pockets, either during or immediately after their Presidency?

Looking at the last 6 Presidents…I don’t have to mention net worth …only NAMES or just  political affiliation…see if you notice a trend, as I have…

(R) Ronald Reagan, (R) George Bush 1, (D) Bill Clinton, (R) George Bush 2,  (D/Soc) Hussein Obama, (R) Donald Trump…notice anything significant? Which ones do you think put America first and their own wealth 2nd or 3rd…Clinton or Obama…?

America smarten up…we NEED to keep this President and give him a Republican Senate with a super majority, a House with a super majority and a Speaker of the House who has an IQ higher than fish!

Imagine what this President could do without having to dodge bullets from Pelosi, Schiff Schumer, and the rest of the despicables!

Obviously, we are a very badly divided nation: so divided we agree on virtually nothing; so divided we can't even talk to one another anymore; so divided one side doesn't believe in anything the other side says; so divided California, New York and Illinois might as well be on a different planet than Texas.

We can't even agree on how to respond to the novel coronavirus, and when to get back to business.

Check out the latest Rasmussen poll. Sixty-one percent of Republicans believe America will rise from the dead by Easter. Count me among them.

But only 41% of all likely voters somewhat believe the USA can get back to work by Easter. Among Democrats, the number must be in the teens.

In the past few days, President Donald Trump made it abundantly clear that Americans need to get back to work.

I have said repeatedly on my nationally syndicated radio show: "The business of America is business. It's time to get back to work because the deadly virus is temporary, but the economic disaster we're causing could last a lifetime and prove far more deadly in the long run."

Many conservatives such as myself have also pointed out that the mortality rates of the coronavirus have been greatly exaggerated. On Thursday, Dr. Deborah Birx, "America's Doctor," said the same thing in a press conference: There will not be millions dead in the USA. The math doesn't add up.

She reported how computer models predicting 500,000 dead in the U.K. have been downgraded to 20,000. She reported how the terrible death count in Italy just doesn't add up to millions of Americans dead, not even close.

President Trump and Republican businessmen like me remain steadfast and optimistic that we can start bringing this terrible pandemic to a close and be back to business (or at least a limited business rollout) by Easter.

It's not because we don't take this pandemic seriously but because we believe in our hearts that we can't allow the U.S. economy to die. We can't allow another Great Depression. We can't honor the sick or dying by losing our job, income and life savings.

Someone has to mind the store, keep the economy going, pay the bills and pay the taxes so that after we win this war -- and we will win -- there is something for the older, the weak and the vulnerable to come back to.

We believe in our hearts and souls there is a way to restart this economy, and to do it carefully, reasonably and responsibly while protecting the oldest, weakest and most vulnerable.

Meanwhile, Democratic politicians and liberal Hollywood activists scream about millions dying and about keeping the nation locked down for months. And they call Trump and Republicans all kinds of terrible names.

What accounts for this difference? I believe I've figured it out. It's all about personality.

Most every Republican I know is positive, outgoing and relentless, won't take no for an answer and has can-do spirit. That's why so many Republicans are successful in the business world. That's why we're proud to create the jobs and pay the taxes. We are the workers, makers and producers of America. We turn lemons into lemonade. We see the glass as half full, not half empty. We love working. We see it as our American way of life. We desperately want and need to get back to work.

Democrats are the polar opposite. They are cynical, negative and always finding fault with America, capitalism and business. That's why conservative talk radio is so successful whereas there is virtually no liberal talk radio. It's just too negative, too dark, too depressing. Liberals are always complaining, offering no solutions other than bigger government.

That explains the differences in how we see the coronavirus. Republicans have everything to lose if they don't get back to work. We see our business, career, job as our calling in life, our baby. It is who we are. Taking that away from us is like death.

Democrats are made up of groups who don't see anything to gain by rushing back to work. Some of them didn't work before this crisis. Some are protected by union contracts and union pensions. Some work for government -- and they have jobs for life. Some have lived on a welfare check for much of their life. Some want to be paid bigger checks for being unemployed than for working. In the end, they feel they can stay home, take no risk and have the government pay them.

It's a completely different mindset. Democrats depend on government. Republicans depend on God, prayer, self-reliance and personal responsibility. Our lives are wrapped up in our work. We're risk takers. We must get back to work or risk losing everything we've worked our whole lives to build. It's what makes us who we are.

Yes, we're a divided nation. It's like we're from different planets. I'm proud to be from the planet where the glass is always half full, where America, with the greatest health care system in the world and the strongest economy in the world, will always prove victorious.

Yes, it's true that "the business of America is business." Let the people who want to get back to it get back to it.

Buy American Made!

Smithfield Farms, the largest pork producing farm in the USA was sold recently to China with the unanimous support of its stockholders!! The hogs will still be raised here, but slaughtered and packaged for sale there before being sent back here. This includes labels of Morrell, Eckrich, Krakus, Cudahy, Premium Hams, Cook's, Gwaltney, The same with many chickens. They can now be shipped there, but when they come back all that needs to be labeled is that they WERE RAISED IN THE USA. Not that they were processed in China!!! Our great FDA at work again. The chickens will be all processed and most sold to fast food restaurants for sandwiches, along with schools and supermarkets. The China slaughter and processing are not nearly equal to the requirements here.

*BAD FOOD:::
We recently learned that Starkist Tuna is now owned by Korea , and is in big conflict with the U. S. concerning quality, safety, and records, which Korea refuses to produce.
Read several articles on Google about this, and even one that was defending the eating of tilapia said to avoid the fish that came from China Also,I had just returned home from buying Albertson's 4-day special of 4 bags of frozen tilapia for the price of one.? Sure enough, on the top of the bags, it read "farm raised", and on the bottom in small print it said, " China "read all the way down...

Recently a Food inspector on TV... said he had lived overseas and he had seen the filthy conditions their foods are raised and processed in. It is enough to make you throw up. Some foreign workers have to wear masks as they work in these places, because the food is so rotten and filthy, it makes them want to throw up. Many of their fish on Fish Farms are fed raw sewage daily. He said he has seen so much filth throughout their food growing and processing that he would "never" eat any of it. They raise this filth, put some food coloring and some flavorings on it, then they ship it to the USA & Canada for YOU to consume and feed to YOUR families. They have no Food & Safety Inspectors. They ship it to you to buy and poison your families and friends .

Imported food we eat and the junk we buy: Green Giant frozen vegetables are from China, and so are most of Europe 's Best.
Arctic Gardens are Okay. So is Birdseye.
Never buy the grocery store garlic unless it is clearly marked from USA or Canada, the other stuff is grown in people poop (even worse than chicken droppings). China is the largest producer of garlic in the world; U. S. is next.
Buy only local honey *, much honey is shipped in huge containers from China and re-packed here.

Cold-FX is grown and packed in China and is full of fecal bacteria. Doesn't work anyway, big scam.

If the country of origin is not clearly marked beware. If produce, ask an employee.

Watch out for packages which state "prepared for", "packed by" or "imported by". We don't understand the lack of mandatory labeling, especially the produce.

The country of origin should be clearly shown on the item in the store.

Go to the local farmers' markets in season and keep a wary eye open the rest of the year.

Please read this very carefully, and read to the very bottom. It's important for all of us.

How is it possible to ship food from China cheaper than having it produced in the U. S. or Canada?

FOR EXAMPLE THE "OUR FAMILY" BRAND OF MANDARIN ORANGES SAYS RIGHT ON THE CAN 'FROM CHINA '. SO, FOR A FEW MORE CENTS, BUY THE LIBERTY BRAND.

GOLD BRAND OR THE DOLE IS FROM CALIFORNIA.

Beware, Costco sells canned peaches and pears in a plastic jar that come from China.

ALL "HIGH LINER" AND MOST OTHER FROZEN FISH PRODUCTS COME FROM CHINA OR INDONESIA . THE PACKAGE MAY SAY "PACIFIC SALMON" ON THE FRONT, BUT LOOK FOR THE SMALL PRINT. MOST OF THESE PRODUCTS COME FROM FISH FARMS IN THE ORIENT WHERE THERE ARE NO REGULATIONS ON WHAT IS FED TO THESE FISH.

Recently The Montreal Gazette had an article by the Canadian Government on how Chinese feed the fish: They suspend chicken wire crates over the fish ponds, and the fish feed on chicken droppings.

If you search the internet about what the Chinese feed their fish, you'll be alarmed; e. g, growth hormones, expired anti-biotic from humans.? Never buy any type of fish or shellfish that comes from these countries: Vietnam, China, Philippines.

Check this out personally. Steinfeld's Pickles are made in India - just as bad! Another example is in canned mushrooms. No-Name brand came from Indonesia .

Also, check those little fruit cups. They used to be made in Canada in the Niagara region until about 2 years ago. They are now packaged in China. Most sold in Aldi stores.

While the Chinese export inferior and even toxic products, dangerous toys, and goods to be sold in North American markets, the media wrings its hands! Yet, 70% of North Americans believe that the trading privileges afforded to the Chinese should be suspended.

Well, duh! Why do you need the government to suspend trading privileges?

SIMPLY DO IT YOURSELF, CANADA AND THE U. S.

Simply look on the bottom of every product you buy, and if it says 'Made in China ' or 'PRC' (and that now includes Hong Kong ), simply choose another product, or none at all. You will be amazed at how dependent you are on Chinese products, and you will be equally amazed at what you can do without.

THINK ABOUT THIS:

If 200 million North Americans refuse to buy just $20 each of Chinese goods, that's a billion dollar trade imbalance resolved in our favor...fast! The downside? Some Canadian/American businesses will feel a temporary pinch from having foreign stockpiles of inventory.

Just one month of trading losses will hit the Chinese for 8% of their North American exports. Then they will at least have to ask themselves if the benefits of their arrogance and lawlessness are worth it.

START NOW and don't stop and tell your friends.

Send this to everybody you know. Let's show them that we are intelligent, and NOBODY can take us for granted. Start reading labels more closely and buy something else even if it cost a few cents more.*

Unemployment claims in Florida for the week ending March 21 jumped 1,045 percent from the previous week as employers and employees continue to feel the fallout from the coronavirus pandemic.

According to data released Thursday by the U.S. Department of Labor, initial unemployment claims in Florida for the week ending March 21 were 74,021, up 67,558 from the 6,463 claims filed the previous week.

The seasonally adjusted unemployment claims in the U.S. for the week were a record 3.3 million – up 3 million from the previous week. The total represents the highest level of seasonally adjusted initial claims ever. The previous high was 695,000 in October 1982.

"This large increase in unemployment claims was not unexpected, and results from the recognition by Americans across the country that we have had to temporarily halt certain activities in order to defeat the coronavirus," U.S. Labor Secretary Eugene Scalia said.

Jason Schaumburg

The Center Square

Remember when Rahm Emanuel let the secret out of the bag, “Never let a crisis go to waste.”

Just days ago, South Carolina Democrat Congressman James Clyburn repeated almost the exact same words to his Democrat colleagues.

Clyburn said, “this is a tremendous opportunity to restructure things to fit our vision.” Meaning he wants to use a life and death Coronavirus pandemic to push through the extreme, radical, socialist agenda of Democrats, while everyone in Washington DC (including President Trump) is desperate and distracted.

How disgusting and disgraceful.

This latest 1400 page bill put together by Nancy Pelosi and Democrats is everything everyday Americans hate about government. It is the very definition of the worst of the DC Swamp. It is filled with totally unrelated pork to pay off Pelosi’s and Democrat’s deep-pocket supporters. It is filled with their socialist wish list that could neverpass under normal circumstances.

But Pelosi and Democrats expect it to pass by holding you and me hostage. They know the US economy is about to collapse- literally. They know we are on the verge of a Great Depression. Actually, worse than a Great Depression. We are on the verge of 30% or higher unemployment.

That’s higher than anything we saw in the depths of the Great Depression.

Democrats know almost every small business in America is on the verge of bankruptcy. They must know many proud small business owners are thinking of suicide. This is a national disaster of epic proportions.

And all Democrats can think of is loading the bill to rescue the US economy with extreme, radical, ultra-liberal poison pills. If it passes, out of desperation and distraction, they get all the DC Swamp pork and payoffs they ever dreamed of. Plus, as a bonus, their socialist agenda. But if it doesn’t pass, they’ll blame President Trump and Republicans.

How cynical can you get?

What’s in Pelosi’s 1400 page bill? Arts funding; free Obamaphones; strict new affirmative action and diversity rules for corporate Boards; disgraceful giveaways to government employee unions; massive new draconian environmental rules; elimination of the Postal Service’s debt; and forcing government to favor banks owned by minorities. Add in nationwide “ballot harvesting” (ie Democrat voter fraud used to steal elections).

What does any of this have to do with a Coronavirus pandemic, or a health crisis, or an economic collapse?

In short, Pelosi’s version of a ”rescue bill” includes every extreme, radical, socialist and far left proposal Democrats have ever dreamed of. Smack dab in the middle of the worst crisis in US history.

Isn’t that called extortion? Democrats are putting a gun to the heads of President Trump, the GOP Senate and every American. Congratulations Ms. Pelosi. The Gambino Crime Family couldn’t have done a better job.

Sadly, the Republicans are either wimps who will just roll-over in fear of the media saying something bad about them, or they are swamp creatures themselves who will add even more pork to the bill.

My advice to President Trump: Call it out. Read every offensive clause to the American people in an emergency national address to the nation. Recite the pork and payoffs. Call it what it is: mafia style extortion and fraud.

Don’t give in to extortion, Mr. President. Call them out by name with every tool and media outlet you’ve got available. Call Pelosi and Democrats exactly what they are: “Swamp Creatures who don’t care about the American people, who want to take advantage of the American people, in a life or death crisis of a lifetime.”

Mr. President, let the American people know you will veto any bill that contains even one piece of pork- from Democrats or Republicans. Let them know that the only bill that is getting past you is one that directly helps the American people, the great American middle class, small business right NOW. Say it loud and say it often.

President Trump, the majority of people are behind you. We saw it during the trade talks when farmers were being hurt. Democrats accused President Trump of abandoning and destroying farmers. Did farmers leave the President? No, they stood strong and proudly supported him. Polls showed the highest support ever from farmers.

The same will be the case now.

Mr. President, go directly to the American people. Ignore the fake news mainstream media, as most Americans already do. Name names, shoot from the hip, let it fly, tell raw truth, take no prisoners. Call this what it is- mafia style extortion and fraud by the DC Swamp. Compare Peolisi and Democrats to the Gambino Crime Family. I know, my apologies for insulting the Gambinos.

The American people will stand behind you, Mr. President.

DRAIN THE SWAMP!

Railing Against the Fox Virus?

The extra-large pack of journalists who equate liberalism and professionalism in their work cannot stand that Fox News exists. They believe everything elected Republicans do should be "fact-checked" and routinely punished. For Democrats, the elite media offer damage control; for Republicans, only damage.

The onset of the novel coronavirus is simply another occasion for the usual routine. The liberal media are prosecuting Fox for supposedly shoving Americans off a coronavirus cliff with misinformation. They're also equating misinformation with the argument that the pandemic gave them a new rationale to cripple President Donald Trump politically.

The latter is not misinformation. It's rock-solid, bank-on-it information.

Yes, the president and the conservative media were suspicious of all the worst-case scenarios and expressed skepticism about the threat. Many of us were initially reluctant to be dragged into a massive government intervention. Then Italy happened.

Ben Smith, the brand-new media columnist for The New York Times, is openly prosecuting Fox for deaths caused by the coronavirus. Smith asked Ashish Jha, director of the Harvard Global Public Health Institute, whether he "believes people will die because of Fox's coverage." Jha said yes. "Some commentators in the right-wing media spread a very specific type of misinformation that I think has been very harmful," he said.

Then Smith noted that Fox has been compared to a virus, quoting Bill Kristol, who was on Fox until 2012. "People act like Fox is a virus -- beyond our control," said Kristol. "There are people who run it, who have responsibility for it, and they could be held accountable."

Kristol is a gentleman compared to Eric Boehlert, a leftist regular on the badly named program "AM Joy." He shamelessly claimed: "Fox News has been getting people killed for years. I mean just look at their crusade against affordable health care, their crusade against expanding Medicaid. This is not unusual for them. ... (T)hey are a cancer on this country." No one is "fact-checking" that statement.

So where do we go from here? Trump suggested that perhaps the country could ease up on the social distancing restrictions by Easter Sunday. That caused another wave of rage aimed at Trump and his Fox "feedback loop."

But the media recognize, even at The New York Times, the reality that federal and state governments have to balance the nation's overall health with the nation's economy. They don't trust Trump. They trust Gov. Andrew Cuomo, whose coronavirus briefings are hailed by The Times as "communal therapy sessions." Whenever Cuomo thinks we can relax, the media will declare relaxation is the responsible, nonpartisan solution.

Cuomo has said: "I take total responsibility for shutting off the economy in terms of essential workers. But, we also have to start to plan the pivot back to economic functionality, right? You can't stop the economy forever. So we have to start to think about, 'Does everyone stay out of work?'"

On The Times podcast, "The Daily," reporter Maggie Haberman discussed at length how Fox News is warping Trump's response to the coronavirus. She admitted, "in fairness to him, Gov. Cuomo has openly voiced the same moral dilemma that he is wrestling with." But Haberman implied that Cuomo's moral stand is superior: "It's just that Gov. Cuomo came down on the other side of it, which was that there is no cost that can be put on human life."

Liberal scribes love the noble-sounding ideological extreme "no cost can be put on human life." It's like they've never observed the way a socialist health care system mercilessly rations care and decides some lives aren't worth extending. But they'll just keep lamenting that the country's well of information is poisoned by the news channel they pretend is the only ideologically polarized one.

To fight the coronavirus at home, France is removing all military forces from Iraq.

When NATO scaled back its war games in Europe because of the pandemic, Russia reciprocated. Moscow announced it would cancel its war games along NATO's border.

Nations seem to be recognizing and responding to the grim new geostrategic reality of March 2020: The pandemic is the real enemy of us all, and while we fight it, each in his own national corner, we are in this together.

Never allow a serious crisis to go to waste, said Barack Obama's chief of staff Rahm Emanuel during the financial crisis.

Emanuel was echoed this month by House Majority Whip Rep. James Clyburn (D), who called the coronavirus crisis "a tremendous opportunity to restructure things to fit our vision."

What Clyburn had in mind is what Democrats advanced as their alternative to the $2.2 trillion emergency bill. It was designed to force President Trump either to swallow it whole or to take responsibility for vetoing a critical transfusion of federal funds to keep the economy alive.

Among the items stuffed in the Democrats' proposal:

A $15-an-hour minimum wage imposed on companies receiving funds. Blanket loan forgiveness of $10,000 for students. New tax credits for solar and wind energy. Full funding of Planned Parenthood. Federal dollars for fetal tissue research.

$300 million for PBS, which has been promoting the LBGT agenda to school kids. Mandating "diversity" on corporate boards as a condition of companies receiving funds. Election "reforms" to increase Democratic turnout. Insistence that airlines, to get a bailout, offset carbon emissions from jet engines. $35 million for the Kennedy Center.

Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and congressional Republicans ash-canned almost the leftist wish list.

But Trump should go further, turn the tables, and seize this crisis to do what he was elected to do -- impose a new foreign policy.

Isolate America, not from the world, but from the world's wars.

The New York Times and Washington Post editorialized Thursday for an easing of the economic sanctions we have imposed on Iran.

This would be a humanitarian gesture when Iran is suffering more than any country in the Middle East from the virus. More than that, it would be a statement that America is not at war with the Iranian people.

This unilateral gesture by Trump, asking nothing in return except negotiations, would put the onus for Iran's isolation squarely with the ayatollah and his regime.

As for Vladimir Putin's cancellation of war games in response to NATO's cancellation, Trump could seize upon this as an opening to engage Russia as candidate Trump promised to do.

Does anyone believe Putin wants a war with NATO?

Should he do so, does anyone think Italy and Spain, two of the largest NATO allies, but both suffering greatly in the coronavirus crisis, would invoke Article V and declare war on Russia?

When Hitler was our foe, America created a wartime alliance with Stalin in the common cause of crushing the Axis powers. Liberals and leftists yet defend the Popular Front between the democracies and Stalin. If we could unite with Bolsheviks to defeat Nazis, surely we can join with Iran's rulers to cope with and crush the coronavirus.

When, if ever, will there be a better time to make good on Trump's campaign pledge to extricate America from the wars in Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan?

Consider also the Korean Peninsula.

Kim Jong Un has been testing rockets again over the Sea of Japan.

Transfixed by the coronavirus crisis, however, the world is paying him no attention. We should make a final offer to Kim Jong Un to pull our U.S. forces from South Korea and lift sanctions for verifiable reductions and restraints on his nuclear arsenal.

We are ready for a deal. But If Pyongyang refuses to talk, we should tell him we are going home and are allowing South Korea and Japan to develop their own nuclear weapons. And let Kim deal with them.

The coronavirus pandemic is the greatest crisis since the Cuban missile confrontation of 1962. After that crisis, John F. Kennedy sought to use the world's brush with Armageddon to establish a detente with the Soviet Union of the Communist dictator who had put the missiles in Cuba.

Following our Cold War victory, we have not done that. Instead, we plunged into wars that were none of our business to deal with imagined threats and advance utopian causes like establishing Jeffersonian democracy in lands where tribalism and dogmatism are rooted in the very soil.

The coronavirus is the enemy Saddam Hussein never was. And the ayatollahs never had tens of millions of Americans "sheltering in place."

What the coronavirus crisis tells us is not that we should turn our backs on the world but that, in engaging with the world, we should put our own interests first, as every nation in the world is doing now.
