We're Back.......
EXTRA ... EXTRA... The Sun Bay Paper is back!
A warm and heartfelt hello to all of you! This past year has been challenging to say the least. We, like most of you, lost everything and have been picking up the pieces. I could go on and on for hours about the devastation that you and we have experienced, but instead I'd like to switch to a happier notification!
We are so happy and excited to announce that after a year of shock & hiatus, Sun Bay Paper is going back to the presses! With the help of some new investors and the coming on board of some new sales, technical and editorial talent, we are happy to announce that we are back! We are shooting for our next issue to hit the streets in the first week of October.
If you're familiar with our paper you know we tell it like it is and do not succumb to pressures whether governmental or otherwise. We love our community and are here to help! Our letters to the editor section is your forum to voice concerns and we welcome you to use it to compliment the government officials, businesses, staff and friends who are there for you and assisting in your recovery too! For we like to shine the spotlight on the good in our community! There has been so much of that. It really makes us proud to be here, with you!
If you're not familiar with our paper then we welcome you as a new reader. Many visitors to our shores enjoy reading our newspaper at a local cafe or shop and then continue to follow us online when they return home with our flipping book digital version. As many visitors return annually and have a stake in what happens here...We welcome your input and participation!
We want to thank all of our supporters from the past. Without your support we never would have made it as far as we did. Without that previous success we wouldn't be here to give it another go ... THANK YOU! We look forward to supporting you, the rebuilding efforts, and working with the community and locals to make our little paradise great again!
It will not be the same... we all knew that the day after the storm.... that it would never be the same! We lost a lot of good people, and good friends. Some to the big guy upstairs, Some lost their living and place to live and are hopefully returning...and some just couldn't take it anymore, and moved away for good, but here we are with you.... and we're going back to presses!
